Bristol Housing Festival
We were asked to present some brand ideas for a new international housing festival to be held in Bristol at the end of 2018. We needed to make the brand flexible so that it could be used by other cities across the world. Our idea is to use the outline of the city in which the festival is taking place and simplify that into a living logo mark.
Researching the history and principles behind the festival gave us key insights into the priorities of organisation. The values of the festival are the same regardless of geographic location so we decided to split the 'map mark' into 6 sections, each section representing one of the six key principles. This gives us a 'blueprint' diagram unique to each location, that we plan to use as a construction device (possibly a massive origami model!) to help push the idea of pre-built and pre-fabricated housing.
